Student Voices: What We Think About The New Normal On Campus

If you’ve been to a CHERE conference, you know we always have a student panel and sometimes have students involved in breakout workshops.  Some students have moderated those workshops.  In other words, we strongly believe in listening to our students (and developing their leadership skills).

Therefore, our first “Virtual Conference” (via Zoom) will be with a panel of several students from different types of campuses.  They’ll share how they’re surviving COVID and dealing with uncertainty, how they view going back to campus and evaluate the online learning they’ve been doing, and discuss issues including the impact of the Black Lives Matter movement on campuses and more.

If you are a faculty or staff member at the collegiate level, advise students on campus and/or in navigating the current unprecedented circumstances, please join us to share your perspective and hear first-hand from students looking ahead at a day-to-day education process very different from what they had anticipated.

What will getting back to campus look like, less than 2 months from now.  What have we learned?  What do we need now?  Join us for an insightful student-faculty-staff conversation exploring where we are, and what’s next.
